TOEFL Preparation Course Online

Some Singapore and Chinese universities accept or prefer TOEFL over IELTS. We help you confirm whether TOEFL is the right exam for your application and prepare you to hit your target score.

What Is TOEFL?

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) is a computer-based English proficiency exam developed by ETS (Educational Testing Service). It is accepted by over 12,000 institutions worldwide.

TOEFL is the standard English proficiency exam for US and Canadian universities, but it is also accepted by Singapore universities (NUS, NTU, SMU) and English-taught programmes at Chinese universities.

If your target university lists TOEFL as an accepted or preferred English exam, this is the right test for you.

TOEFL Score Requirements

Destination Typical TOEFL iBT Requirement
NUS / NTU (Singapore) 85 to 100 (varies by programme)
Chinese universities (English-taught) 80 to 90
US universities 80 to 110+ (top schools require 100+)
Canadian universities 80 to 100

Requirements vary by university and programme. We confirm the exact target score for your application during the consultation.
